If you’re one of those lucky (annoying) so and so’s that falls asleep as soon as the plane leaves the runway, I hope you thank your lucky stars every night. For the rest of us, long journeys can be a nightmare. Couple that with travel sickness and you can see why I’ve scoured the earth for any solution to make traveling bearable. Noise cancelling headphones are the best solution I’ve found thus far. Let me tell you why travelers need noise cancelling headphones.

Usually, I don’t even listen to music when traveling with a pair of headphones in.

Noise cancelling headphones block out all low-level background noise. If you’re traveling on a bus or plane and have a good pair of noise cancelling headphones, you shouldn’t be able to hear anything. Silence is the goal here. With silence you can rest.

With silence, you can sleep and feel refreshed when you arrive at your new destination.

There’s something about a great big pair of headphones that makes you feel shut off from the world around you. Travelers need noise cancelling headphones because sometimes, there’s such a thing as experiencing too much of the world.

Sometimes you need to look inside. Be with yourself – think. When traveling, that’s hard to do. Whether you’re in a shared dorm or on another group museum tour – time at peace is hard to find.

Noise cancelling headphones can give you that – anywhere.Noise Cancelling Wireless Bluetooth Headphones

A Slice of Home

I’ve found my headphones are invaluable as a reminder of home. I still listen to the same audio books and podcasts in Cambodia as I did in the UK and US.

When traveling, you absolutely do not catch up on any current music – so your playlists are often years old. That’s actually good.

It’s a reminder of home – keep your favorite sounds close.Noise Cancelling Headphones

If you’re traveling, I implore you to pick up a pair of noise cancelling headphones. Travelers need them to rest, escape and reflect.

They’re one of those items you don’t realise you need until you have them.

At The Urban Upgrade, we stock my favorite pair of noise cancelling headphones. They’re wireless, have a huge battery life and come in black, white or red. My black pair never leave my backpack.

I suffer with tinantus (sp) and find the constant roar on a plane really agitates it. Headphones make a huge difference with that… still can’t get comfortable or sleep on a long flight tho 😔

Glad to hear that – the first time I tried I couldn’t believe the difference in my traveling experience. I feel you with the comfort issue! Planes need beds! 🛏😂

omg yesssssss. So true. I got some and it made a world of difference. Mine were a 100 average and while it’s not the most expensive brand you can buy, it really helped enormously with cancelling out background noise. I don’t use them outside an airplane or accom tho to make sure stay alert.
