Modern pieces such as titanium rings are starting to come to the fore in the jewelry world. Titanium rings in particular are growing in popularity as people seem to be moving towards a more modern aesthetic. Stainless steel and gold just don’t seem to be cutting it anymore and here at The Urban Upgrade, we wanted to know why. Here’s the answer.
Titanium rings are lightweight, much more so than an equivalent gold, tungsten or steel piece. If you’ve never felt a titanium ring before, you”ll likely be surprised at just how light they are. This is actually why they’re one of my favorites – as a jewelry-phobe it’s a really easy transition. Wearing something lightweight like a titanium ring is great for those unaccustomed to any kind of metal on their bodies. If you want something a bit heavier though, we’d recommend picking up a tungsten ring instead.
Typically, stainless steel rings are the most affordable way to go in this category. However, titanium rings are the next best choice for your wallet. Gold and other precious will set you back a lot more. Price varies by manufacturer, design and style, but here at The Urban Upgrade, we’re able to sell titanium rings for $25 – we’re priced under many other suppliers. I’m sure you’ll agree, it’s more than reasonable for something that’ll last you decades.
Titanium rings are known for their durability. They’re just as durable as any ring made from a precious metal and will last you decades. A titanium ring doesn’t bend, crack, melt and best of all, they’re scratch resistant.
We do recommend regular polishing with just a simple cloth to prevent small layers of natural oxide building up, but these are easily taken care of. As one as the strongest metals out there, titanium rings are guaranteed to last a lifetime – perfect for a wedding band.
Here at The Urban Upgrade, we’re big fans of titanium rings. They do everything functionally that the big boys like gold do, but they’re a fraction of the price.
If you love the style and you’re not accustomed to wearing lots of heavy jewelry, pick up a titanium ring.
